Get the exclusive racket we've designed for the World Padel Tour Swedish Padel Open, a racket that has been designed and manufactured exclusively for this event.
Bourne is a model born in 2018 from the fusion between the Cañon (diamond shape created in 2003) and the Avant (teardrop shape created in 2009). The result is a racket with a teardrop shape, designed for players looking for power in their game without sacrificing control.
This professional-level padel racket features the Prisma frame, which reduces point frame contact with walls and surfaces by 90%, as well as air resistance by 10%. All this translates into improved maneuverability and greater acceleration.
In addition, we have reinforced the most fragile part of the point (the head) with an adhesive protector that adapts perfectly to its shape, the Prisma protector. This not only covers the frame, but also its junction with the plane of the racket.
To enhance the effect of shots, it has a rough surface texture called Slice, designed and developed with a series of curved lines that make the ball's surface cling more tightly to it.
It is composed of a bi-directional carbon tube and a medium-hard Hypersoft foam core - corresponding to our Winter and Summer (W/S) models. The core is laminated with a woven layer of 12K carbon fiber, a second layer of plain 3K carbon fabric and a third layer of fine fiberglass. The core and frame are reinforced with woven 3K carbon fiber. All these materials are impregnated with VAR-FLEX epoxy resin, exclusive to Varlion, for maximum elasticity and strength, and coated with a layer of titanium dioxide.
As its nom suggests, the Bourne Swedish Padel Open 2022 incorporates Summum technology in its construction, which is based on the sum of several factors:
- A longer-than-usual grip to offer the player a more comfortable and professional grip, and also to facilitate the grip for those using both hands on backhand shots.
- A 1 cm longer hitting surface.
- A graduated hole pattern with more holes (76 in total) to improve and widen the racket's sweetspot.
- And Diffuser Wings technology in the core, with an improved aerodynamic diffuser for greater maneuverability and precision.
Finally, it's worth mentioning Handlesafety technology, a new handle safety system. Normally, all paddles have a centred exit hole for the rope, which is attached to the structure shaft by means of a pin, rivets, nails, etc. With this system, the rope passes through the hole to the handle. With this system, the rope passes through both walls of the handle and exits on both sides of the handle, guaranteeing 100% safety and grip comfort.
